What is Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation?

Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation provides intensive rehabilitation to patients experiencing a loss of function from injury or illness. Rehabilitation provides active and ongoing treatment to address mobility, balance, coordination, strength, range of motion, sensory loss, and visual problems. Intensive rehabilitation services include physician supervision by a rehabilitation physician; three hours of therapy, five days per week with multiple therapy disciplines; interdisciplinary team approach.
